HEAT RESISTANT POLYURETHANE COATING WITH SOLAR REFLECTIVE INDEX (SRI) >80

Thermohydrax is a ready to use, single component polyurethane coating for heat and UV resistance with solar reflective index (SRI)> 80. It has superior adhesion to substrates like concrete, screeds, ceramic tiles, and bitumen membranes with high flexibility and strong resistance to all atmospheric conditions. Making it an ideal choice for diverse applications.

Thermohydrax drop the surface temperature about 15°C – 20°C compared with dark coloured covering. It helps drop the indoor air temperature roughly 4°C – 6°C depending on room’s ventilation.

RECOMMENDATIONS
  • Do not apply Thermohydrax if the temperature is lower than +5°C  or higher than +40°C.
  • Do not apply if it is about to rain or raining. If it rains between the coats, wait until 12 hours before applying the next coat and make sure the moisture is completely dry.
  • Do not apply on wet surfaces or if there is any dew on the substrate.
  • Do not apply on the weak or dusty surfaces.
CHARACTERISTICS
  • High Solar Reflectance
  • Weather Resistance
  • High Elasticity
  • Low Voc
  • Solvent Free
  • Excellent Crack Bridging
  • For Walkable Areas (Light foot traffic)
WHERE TO USE
  • ROOF TOPS
  • FOR ALL SUBSTRATES
  • CONCRETE & CEMENTITIOUS SCREEDS
  • METAL SURFACES
HOW TO USE
  • Clean the surface from dirt, oil, moisture, paint and any material which could affect the adhesion.
  • Apply primer where needed to provide a smooth and clean surface.
  • Cracks larger than 1mm should be filled with crack filler (Sea Star Crack Filler).
  • Steel surfaces should be blasted then clean by any solvent.
  • Remove any wax or water-repellent treatment if any applied earlier by sanding.
  • Mix the content thoroughly prior to application.
  • Apply with a brush / roller, minimum two coats in an opposite direction.
  • The second coat must be applied after the first coat is touch dry (approx after 2-4 hrs depending upon weather)
  • If the substrate has micro cracks insert a reinforcement sheet of fibre mesh between the two layers/ coats.
  • The dry thickness of Thermohydrax should not be less than 0.6 -0.8 mm.
  • Leave for 24-48 hours for complete curing.
